Leadership: Emotional Intelligence (the Empathy Factor)
As all leaders know Emotional Intelligence is very key
quality required to succeed with People. Empathy is one key factor of emotional
Intelligence. Let us take an example of a Customer who is totally angry and
impatient over an issue with a company. A Customer Support person who gives a
patient listening to the customer and understands his view point and clearly
explains to the Customer he understand his view point and agrees to some of the
mistakes or issue that has occurred. Already secures 55% confidence of the
customer. Here empathizing helps to build trust and relationship with the
customer.
